A beautiful sunset is like a happy ending for a story. It gives colours to the sky and allows the star to shine. My nickname when travelling is ‘Sunset God’.

I always tell people I like sunset but in actual fact, it’s the colourful hues of sunset that I love. Even when it is stormy, the day may end with a beautiful sunset and the stars shining up in the sky.

People love to ask me, where is the best country to watch sunset? It’s really about being at the right place at the right time. Anyway, in case you have not realised, we are looking at the same sun at different places. It’s just like how we see things in life, it’s about your own opinion, your own perspective.

Here are 10 memorable sunset moments I’ve captured. By the way, thanks to modern technology that incorporated a good lens within the phone, I can be an iPhone-grapher.

  1. Reykjavik, Iceland

This was captured on my last day of a 14 days trip. I heart Iceland, I heart sunset. That moment spoke my heart.

2. Illuissat, Greenland

Illuissat also known as the ‘Land of Icebergs’ is where I said to myself “What a wonderful world”.

 3. Dubrovnik, Croatia

Where is my Oppa? This is where I feel has the most romantic sunset. Watching sunset at Dalmatia coast should be in your bucket list.

4. Hokkaido, Japan

Freezing cold ( -14ºc) at Lake Shikotsu but the view was too amazing,  I rather catch a cold than miss that moment.

5. Lofoten, Norway

It was only 2.32pm and the sun was starting to set. The bonus was I got to witness the polar stratospheric cloud which I did not manage to capture. Unforgettable!

6. Tainan, Taiwan

The dark clouds and rainfalls were following us. At our last stop, the salt field at Tainan, the mighty clouds opened up for us to catch the sundown moment. Thank you.

7. Xi’an, China

Cloudy sky is the default mode for the Winter season in Xi’an. Feeling blessed to catch this moment after a long day trip at Hua Mountain.

8. On Air

This is what I call window seat benefits. Check the flight path and make sure that the window next to your seat is facing the west.

9. Bandung, Indonesia

It was supposed to be a dinner venue and I ended up seeing this beautiful sunset moment of Bandung with the iconic Grand Mosque of Trans Studio. That’s the fun part of travelling, expect the unexpected.

10. Yishun, Singapore

Photo taken during the circuit breaker period. A break for fresh air led me to this beautiful site with a blend of orange and purple in the sky. This is home truly.
