Call Me Tai Tai Chan

Nope I’m not ‘atas’ at all, I don’t own any Hermes or Chanel handbags. Manicure and pedicure are done non-regularly or during festivities only. I don’t wear expensive dresses and have high-tea everyday. So, what made me so shameless to call myself a ‘Tai Tai’? Well… in the first place, why cannot? ‘太太’ is simply another name for ‘wife’ if you search online.

I started my career at the age of 16 after ‘O’ level as a clerk, then a salesgirl, to a retail manager and subsequently I became a Head of Department with a reputable travel agent in Singapore. I laugh a lot and very loudly…  too loudly. ‘Loud’ is always the description used by people who know me.

Every tai tai has a story. I’m very ‘kaypo’ and I love to know them all. As a social media enthusiast, I realised that there is a lack of an online community for ‘tai tai’ to share stories, knowledge and there is no virtual stage to showcase some of their hidden talents.

Taitaigram will be a place to chill out, laugh out loud and learn from others. I am learning from people every day as well.

No good English in Taitaigram, only good Stories.
